Back to the Future
The future is the present.

The future is now. The road of tomorrow is being laid and designed by our acts and words now. As that this is true, some undergraduate brothers have put in place a plan to pay the re-chartering fee that the chapter faces each year. The hope is that in time and some effort through fundraising that the re-charting fee will be covered and so that the cost for chapter operations will then drop and the dues of every semester will drop also. The goal is to make the dues easier for brothers to pay dues so that we may grow as a chapter. The fund has had a small seed planted by a friend of the fraternity, a businessman in Dayton, Ohio. He liked the thought of the idea and what   we stand for so he donated $50. It is not that much but when look upon that a person that was never in a fraternity was willing to open up his pocket book was amazing to us.
The hope is that with fund raisers such as the planned golf outing for alumni this spring and other events that this account that we have started will grow and at some time will do what it was intended to do. The time that is hoped for this to be able to work is about 6 years from now. The thinking is that we should build a base of money and use the interest to pay the bills. The future is now, and so we are helping the brothers of the future.

Alumni Advisor Starts New Incentive
Alumni brother Ryan Williams gives back to chapter in new way. He as taken it upon himself to set up a scholarship for the undergraduate brothers, but it is a uniquely designed scholarship. It has some guidelines to it. For a brother to be eligible for the scholarship he must attended all meetings, sorority events and all mandatory events. If a brother does this, his name   will be written down and put into a hat at the end of the semester. Ryan Williams will draw a name and that brother will have his next semester's dues paid by Ryan. When asked about this sort of scholarship if it was fair, Ryan responded with that it was giving a helping hand to brothers that are living up to our ideals.

FORE!!!
In the spring of 2003 we would like to hold a golf outing for you, our alumni brothers. The plan is as of now to hold the golf outing in Louisville, KY. Some of the finest courses in Kentucky are there, that and many of you our alumni, live near there. We are hoping to get a response of interest in this idea. It will most likely be on a Saturday or Sunday in March or April. We are in negotiations with the golf courses out there right now to   set this up. We have some nice things planned to run along with the golf tournament, but we really need to know what kind of interest there is for such an event. If you could respond to oxalumnietabeta@yahoo.com and let us know what you feel about the idea. We hope to have more concrete information to you in the up coming months.
