With good reason, Theta Chi is one of the most respected fraternities at EKU. We are very active in all areas on campus. Theta Chi offers a strong balance of academics, campus involvement, intramural sports, and social activities. We emphasize and require strong grades and stress academic excellence in all members. As a result of this policy we exceed the G.P.A. requirement set forth by EKU and the Inter-Fraternity Council. The members of the Eta Beta Chapter of Theta Chi Fraternity keep and maintain an extensive library to assist in academics, and have members majoring in a most of Eastern’s major programs. We not only stress involvement in our fraternity, but we also stress active involvement in campus and community organizations. Our members can be found in student government, student-alumni organizations, honors programs, as well as many others. We are active participants in nearly every greek sponsored event as well as many campus-wide events. All men entering Theta Chi should look forward to guidance from their "Big Brother" who is paired with them to help their adjustment to college life and to help with academics. Our 4-1-4 program consists of a short 4-week new-member education followed by initiation in the fifth week. This is followed up by 4 weeks of continued education. Theta Chi believes that no hazing is a must to establish respect, friendship, and brotherhood, and we strictly follow this policy. Theta Chi not only emphasizes a strong education, we seek to better ourselves through a diversified college experience. The men in Theta Chi have fun while living by the maxim "Alma Mater first, Theta Chi for Alma Mater". Basically this means, school comes first and Theta Chi is here to help you with school. We are a "Social Fraternity" that strives for excellence in all aspects of life. Whether in campus politics, intramurals, philanthropy, or in the classroom, members of Theta Chi continue to achieve the highest honors available at the Eastern Kentucky University. To maintain this standard of excellence we look for men of strong character looking to succeed in all aspects of life.
